About Seán

"Don't Shoot - I'm Not Well!"

Seán has learned just how vital confidence and communication are in achieving what you want in life by realising some of his own life ambitions, despite some morale-sapping setbacks and failures.

Now a certified neuro-linguistic programming practitioner, Time Line therapist and hypnotherapist, Seán runs a successful business working around the world helping people and the organisations they work in build and sustain powerful levels of confidence and communication skills.

His work is based on his studies and research combined with his varied professional and personal life experiences. And Seán has worked with a variety of clients from Vodafone, Clifford Chance and the Royal Mail to Deloitte, easyJet and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. His book
Don't Shoot - I'm Not Well! Confidence for when you really need it is now out.

Award winner & reading the TV news in underwear

Seán is an award winning journalist and broadcaster who was the UK's youngest network TV news correspondent, aged 21, and then, at 22, he became one of the UK's youngest network TV newsreaders. This was despite his journalism college lecturer telling him he wouldn't make it in the profession!

He also has arguably the unique distinction of once having reading the national TV news in his underwear because he hadn't been able to find his trousers in the rush to the studio from a particularly good party!

Undercover work & getting ticklish with ex-USSR leader

Seán was also a national newspaper reporter from the age of 19 and worked as an undercover investigative journalist. He exposed multi million pound frauds and once even infiltrated a swingers' orgy! undercover And, on one assignment, being ticklish, as well as using some Blarney, he managed to talk and bluff his way through 12 security checks to gain access to ex-Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev.

Motorbiking, Mensa & discus throwing

Seán, who's an outdoor sports enthusiast and a saxophone playing chocolate cake addict, has always loved adventure and tackling new challenges and believes in living life to the full. As a schoolboy, he taught himself how to throw the discus, winning junior international honours and several county championship titles. He even became a member of Mensa, the high IQ society, despite being told as a schoolboy that he was, at best, just average academically.

Arrests, near death & cannibalism

Later, Seán almost lost his life on a mountaineering expedition in New Guinea while under the armed escort of the Indonesian special forces because of the threat of kidnap and murder. Ignoring his training on instinct saved his life during a massive rock fall.

He has travelled in cannibal inhabited jungles and climbed unconquered mountains among the glacial wastes of Greenland. On one trip through Eastern Europe, he was held at gunpoint in the former Yugoslavia during the war there, and arrested twice in two days by corrupt armed, plain clothes policemen in Poland.

160mph to lunch

He once decided, at short notice, to ride his high speed supersports motorbike from London and popped over the English Channel to France, had lunch with his sister in Paris (she paid!) and then raced down to Italy in time for dinner in Tuscany before touring the country on two wheels (admittedly, sometimes it was just one), often at exciting speeds.

Seán now lives in London with his chocolate cake and biscuit selection.
